Friends of Woolley (FoW) aims to represent the people who live in Woolley, a hamlet located less than one mile from the centre of Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire. It is special for its close-knit community; patchwork of cottages, gardens and orchards; and outstanding views of the local countryside and Salisbury Plain.
Friends of Woolley aims to protect and enhance the Woolley area. Originally set up in response to proposals for inappropriate developments in Woolley, it soon began to focus community action on positive projects such as fruit tree planting, selling local produce, wildlife and other surveys. It aims to provide an awareness of the local environment and sense of community with initiatives such as the apple juicing project.
Membership is open to anyone living in, or supporting the community of Woolley. New members can contact the membership secretary to join.
