Friends of Woolley: the latest

Our FoW Committee met online again last Thursday 7th May to update ourselves and progress initiatives. The few points below give a flavour of what we talked about. More details on individual items will come later:

  • We shall aim to make communication more informative and interactive to reflect better the way our activities have mushroomed during the last couple of months. If you have skills to contribute and would like to help out, please let us know.
  • The massive ‘Sunflowers of Hope’ distribution took place over the previous weekend. We do have some seeds left so if for some reason you have missed out or know of others perhaps in the newer developments around Woolley, please let us know.
  • Our wildlife and bat surveys lent credibility to the Plan for Woolley and helped in forcing the defeat of the Redcliffe planning proposal. The data are now a few years old and we are about to launch and fund a repeat of these, with the help of observant Woolley residents. Fuller details of how you can make this happen will be published within the next week or two.
  • A new wave of enthusiasm appears to building for Woolley. Be part of it and stay in touch.

Whatever the changes in government policies, best wishes and stay well!
